What kinds of Study Rooms are available?
The Downey Learning Resource Center (Merced campus) has 6 study rooms on the 1st floor and 3 study rooms on the 2nd floor. All study rooms have a table with 5 chairs, a wall outlet, WiFi and a whiteboard. Additionally, 2 rooms on each floor are equiped with ClickShare system, which allows you to share what's on your laptop or moblie device to the screens in the room.
Rooms can be used for individual or group study.
How do I reserve a Study Room?
Advanced reservations are highly recommended.
- Select the date: 1 week to 1 day in advance.
- Pick a time: 2 hour maximum booking.
- Read the policies and click Continue.
- Complete the brief form.
- Submit your booking.
You will recieve an email confirming your room booking. If you need to cancel your booking, there is a link in that email that you can use to cancel the booking.
If you have not made a reservation, check availabilty for same day use at the Service Desks.
How do I access a reserved Study Room?
Check in at the Service Desk on the 1st floor for study rooms 131-136 and the 2nd floor Service Desk for study rooms 207-209. Please have your Merced College ID or photo ID.
If you don't check in within ten (10) minutes your ENTIRE reservation will be cancelled.
